FUNdementals of Drawing Friday 27th November @ 6pm
An Evening of Playful Sketching and Observational Drawing
£25.00
Wanting to decompress after work? Swap your daily routine for an evening of playful creativity! Led by professional artist Dominique Cunnington, this fast-paced, interactive drawing workshop blends playful drawing games with accessible still life setups to help you loosen up, shake off perfectionism, and see the world with fresh eyes.
In this engaging 2-hour session, we’ll start with light-hearted, collaborative sketching games designed to warm up your hands and break the ice. Then, we’ll shift into guided still life drawing—exploring form, texture, line, and light through exercises designed to build knowledge and confidence.
What to Expect:
Beginner-Friendly Guidance: No prior drawing or textile experience needed. All experience levels are welcome. (Ages 18+)
Artist-Led Guidance: Clear instruction, encouraging feedback, and practical drawing tips from a practicing artist.
Playful Drawing Games: Quick-fire, playful exercises (like blind sketching and continuous line drawing) to overcome blank-page anxiety.
Still Life Exploration: Fun object arrangements to experiment with contrast, shading, and composition.
All Materials Provided: A variety of paper, graphite, markers, and drawing tools ready for you to test out.
