An 8-player Magic: The Gathering cube with 50 mins for drafting and then three 50 minute rounds.
It is a highly thematic cube with defined good guys and bad guys made mostly of critter/animals/monsters. Each guild having a thematic and unique take on their position and thoughts about how to live among them. Whether that be for, or against the creatures of the world described by the theme.
The critter cube tells the story of what happens when planes of existence collide. For a reason as yet undiscovered the inhabitants of the plane of Bloomburrow have begun spilling out of what can only be described as "tears in time" leaving them in environments in which they DO NOT belong!
Although the cause of these tears is unknown, one thing is known about their nature; they seem to be a one way affair.
The story of Critter cube focuses on how the inhabitants of the realms in which these tears have begun and the former inhabitants of Bloomburrow, deal with this bizarre phenomenon and the manner in which this gorgeous influx is handled. It seems to be clear if the critters are going to get home or learn to survive in their new home they will have to choose their allies (and enemies) wisely...
