Looking for a relaxing way to decompress after a busy workday? Swap your screens for textiles and join us for a hands-on, therapeutic introduction to needlefelt painting. Often described as "painting with wool" (although this session is vegan friendly and will use synthetics), needlefelting is a tactile, forgiving art form where you use barbed needles (not as scary as it sounds we promise) to blend synthetic fibres into a fabric backing, creating textured, frame-ready pictures.
In this friendly 2-hour evening session, you’ll learn the fundamental techniques of flat felting—from laying down background gradients to adding fine line details and surface texture. Whether you want to create a misty landscape, a colourful abstract composition, or a bold graphic design, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process in a warm, collaborative environment.
What to Expect:
·Beginner-Friendly Guidance: No prior drawing or textile experience needed. All experience levels are welcome. (Ages 18+)
·All Materials Included: Synthetic 'wool' roving, felting needles, foam pads, and backing fabric are all provided.
·Forgiving & Mess-Free: No paints, solvents, or waiting for things to dry—if you make a mistake, simply lift the 'wool' and try again!
·Take Home Your Art: Leave with a completed, unique picture ready to frame or display
·Duration: 2 Hours
